At Jefferson Center, we are dedicated to maintaining a healthy, safe environment for everyone who comes through our doors. As we transition back to our offices in a gradual and thoughtful manner, we will be taking precautions guided by local public health ordinances to ensure the safety of our staff and clients.
Before entering any Jefferson Center building, you will need to make sure you’re wearing a mask that appropriately covers your nose and mouth to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, cloth face coverings should:
- fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
- be secured with ties or ear loops
- include multiple layers of fabric
- allow for breathing without restriction
- be able to be laundered and machine dried without damage or change to shape
Please Note: if you do not have a mask, you may be asked to leave and reschedule your appointment.

Physical distancing is an essential element of minimizing the spread of the virus and protecting the health of our staff and clients. People can spread the virus without displaying symptoms or even knowing that they have it, so it’s important to maintain a safe distance of at least six feet when you are around other people.
For in-office appointments, our number of available staff members will be limited and you may be asked to wait in lines that are spaced six feet apart. Additionally, please be aware that bathroom access has been limited to one person in the restroom at a time.
To learn more about social distancing best practices and other ways to keep yourself safe from the coronavirus, read the CDC’s tips here.
To minimize the number of people in our offices and to ensure that everyone in the building can remain six feet apart at all times, only clients will be permitted to enter the building. Unless you are attending a family session, all other friends, family, and caretakers will need to wait in the parking lot.
