Accessibility Statement

Jefferson Center is committed to providing a digital experience that is accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. We believe accessibility is essential to creating an inclusive and equitable experience for everyone who visits our website, and we have partnered with AccessiTREE, a digital accessibility firm, to help us achieve this goal.

Current Status

This website is currently undergoing a comprehensive accessibility remediation project. This includes audits and testing guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which are recognized as the standard for digital accessibility under U.S. law.

As of May 2025, we have entered the initial phase of this project. AccessiTREE is conducting structured audits of our web content and functionality while also beginning targeted remediation activities in parallel. This work is foundational to our ongoing improvements and reflects our commitment to accessibility.

Accessibility Goals

Our accessibility efforts are focused on:
  • Identifying and remediating accessibility barriers that affect people with disabilities
  • Ensuring our digital content works effectively with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard-only navigation
  • Aligning the structure, content, and design of our site with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards

Scope of Remediation

  • Website templates and pages
  • Embedded documents and media (such as PDFs, videos, and images)
  • User interactions and form accessibility
  • Compatibility with assistive technologies
Third-party content, services, or platforms that we do not control may not be fully accessible. We are evaluating key integrations and, where feasible, will share accessibility limitations with vendors or seek alternatives.

Feedback

We value your feedback as we work to make our website more accessible. If you encounter any barriers or have difficulty accessing any part of our site, please let us know.

Monitoring and Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We are committed to transparency and accountability as we make progress. This accessibility statement will be updated as we advance through the remediation work, implement fixes, conduct verification through retesting, and continue aligning our website with recognized accessibility standards.

Thank you for your patience as we work toward a more accessible digital experience for all.
