Jefferson Center to Conduct Assessment on Culturally Responsive Care
Jefferson Center is excited to share our plans to enhance, expand, and improve our culturally responsive care for all our communities by integrating cultural and language-based services throughout every Jefferson Center program. Over the next several months, we are conducting an Equity Assessment that will be submitted to the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration in June 2026 with the following:
- A full overview of strengths and opportunities for cultural and language services
- Key recommendations for improvement
- Supporting ongoing training and consultation needs for staff, including cultural humility and responsive care and availability of translation and interpretation services
- Supervisor-specific training centered around supporting teams in our mission to provide culturally responsive care
- Outline of partnerships for a full continuum of culturally-focused support systems
In addition to submitting our Equity Assessment to the BHA, we are also committed to sharing the results with you.
Healing and growth happen when care truly meets every need and honors each person’s individuality. We believe every person deserves a strong network of support and protective factors, with clear access to care that reflects their lived experiences and identities. This work requires time, intention, and collaboration from all of us to create the highest quality care for our communities.
We are deeply grateful for your commitment and look forward to partnering with you as we build the safe, welcoming environment every person deserves.
